Family property since the 17th century, “Le Domaine du Château Vert” results from "Le Domaine Allegre" which extended over the grounds of the current village of La Londe Les Maures.
This "Domaine", planted with wood, olive-trees, cultivable grounds and meadows,
and delimited by the rivers Pansard and Maravenne,
extended on 1000 hectares from “Les Jassons” and the hills Les Maures up to the sea.
In the middle of the 19th century one of the descendants Allegre, Charles Sochet, built there in place of the old castle a country house called “Château Vert”.
Giros-Marmottant inheritance inherited a part of its goods, and on the 60 hectares of the current “Domaine” where the vines alternate with wood, reserved 34 hectares of the best grounds to produce
top quality wines.
Located at La Londe Les Maures in the VAR on the French Riviera,
this “Domaine” is delimited by the rivers Pansard and Maravenne
and by the main road Hyères - Le Lavandou.
It is composed of two principal parcels : "La Sabine" where
“Le Château Vert” is located and "La Pimente" where an old sheep-fold is situated.
